The media love the idea of locking people up forever, as long as there is a good story behind them.

That's what is destroying civilisation. Minor criminals are painted as monsters; innocence is ignored; headlines are cherished; outrage is encouraged; and taxes are wasted on stupid things whilst serious problems go ignored.

When did you last see a SUN story "Why is Milly Dowler's killer still at large?".

Absolutely right, JK, except it isn't my fault, and I doubt it's yours either.

A client reacted with disbelief when I mispronounced his home town, Rothley. "It's where little Maddie comes from!"

"Oh, right", I replied, feeling like an ignoramus, but at least it proved my lack of appetite for media circuses.

The intellectually challenged masses only like what they know-I, rather pompously, like to think I know what I like-and it is high time those with responsibility (the Press, for example) start to ensure the people know something different and more worthwhile.

PS To any grammatical purists out there, I know I inappropriately used hyphens in the last paragraph, but can't for the life of me find a dash on my keyboard!

The media rather like "He/She speaks from within their cell" stories though.
