Today's Sunday Times carries a fascinating article about this latest False Allegation. Not, I hasten to point out, that I have any knowledge regarding the man's guilt or innocence or the woman who LOST her case against him (who the Judge called a publicity seeker) but the media coverage (this article seems to have been written by three hacks). It hails the woman as a hero in that she is proud that, although having had her case thrown out, she inspired many others to come forward.

It appears impossible for the media or the public to think that every one of these fresh accusers may be false - probably inflating or exaggerating failed attempts or even old consensual experiences - in order to make money or get revenge or sympathy or publicity.

As I say I have no comment on the man or his past behaviour. He may well be a serial rapist "hiding in plain sight" like Jimmy Savile and so many others (most dead). Like R Kelly or Harvey Weinstein or Bill Cosby or all the other "exposed" since I started this "celebrity witch hunt" game as the new Century dawned (with a little help from Max Clifford and Surrey Police). All I can say is that I was, and am, innocent of the slightly exaggerated claims (yes I met some people; no, I didn't have sex with most of them). And I bet many of these other cases (if not all) are equally false.

"Believe the victim even after they are shown to be liars in a court of law". The wonderful new media concept of justice.
