Even my regular posts saying Open All Borders are met, generally, by comments saying "Who cares? Keep migrants out of our country. Let them die. Blame the smugglers. Cup of tea?".
Our species has lost the ability to care about death. Yes they use excuses ("we must look after our own first"... why?). Children with different colour skin don't matter unless media gives us a reason (war - persecution - any "good" stories for our superficial minds).
The truth is - this Century, Satan is winning. Subtle, convincing, believable - but he (or she) is winning.
We don't care about humanity anymore. Only about ourselves.

Has the media & tech let "Satan" win?

I am convinced our brains are being altered by 24-7 sensationalist doom-mongering which appears on phones and devices whether we like it or not.

We have become self-obsessed in a very unhealthy way and yes the truth is no one does give a shit about drowning kids anymore...

Media has now decided this ia a good story. They still don't care about the dying, but it's a great story.

What puzzles me is how intelligent people who oppose migration accept excuses like "we can't afford them" or "some will be terrorists". It's exactly the same mind set as "you will be believed". Once a position is taken, there can be no consideration of alternatives.
