In case you've forgotten this case, I covered it during Episodes of A Victim Bites Back; yet another media inflated story about a woman who slipped into a river and drowned. As so often, the vile Mark Williams Thomas, who believes he now controls the media (especially the Mirror group and ITV) since he invented the Jimmy Savile fiasco, got involved. You can spot him slippering into almost any high profile case, not caring how many innocent lives he affects on the way. Keep your eye on him.

It is a very unusual case, in that it seems that she somehow dropped her phone, and then stumbled again a bit further up at the point she went in the river.
It MIGHT suggest drunkenness, but this lady had no alcohol in her blood at all, as would be expected from someone who just drove her children to school.
And of course, her body turning up in reeds which everyone thought had been searched, when it turned out that the boat man, police divers, and fire brigade all thought somebody else had done it.
They told us about a "concern for safety" incident at her home, which was bound to make people wonder, especially with her seeking help from domestic abuse organisations around that time.(as claimed)
I don't know how telling us about this could possibly have helped, considering they checked and discounted her husband very quickly?
I don't know if the police repeatedly asking for sightings of her on a totally different road made a difference, but it does not inspire confidence.
I suggest that their incompetent (in my view) handling of the case has ENCOURAGED speculation, and caused her poor family weeks of extra torment.

The river is not that deep but it can still be dangerous if it's cold she hit her head on the surface. You can drown by a teaspoon of water.

Even the river is narrow there

Even Fleetwood website states the river is strong.

River, lakes and ponds can be much colder than sea water. It's nothing for people to place missing phones or wallets on benches or landmarks, in case the owner is retracting their steps. If a mobile is lost and unlocked normally the person who found will call a number on the contacts list.
However more and more are locked and have finger prints or face recognition. They are difficult to unlock unless you're an expert in tech.

Is that Barney above pretending to be Greenman?
Why are you telling me about rivers? I know about the river and I am not disputing what happened to her.
It appears to be a series of very unlikely events, which can happen, and my point was that conspiracies can turn out to be either the result of something unusual, or stupidity, in this case from the police.
The phone was NOT left on the bench. It was elsewhere and placed on the bench by someone walking past.
