More useless teachers 1 Year, 11 Months ago

I hated school trips, it was still school to me. However, I remember teachers doing head counts and roll calls every time we were off and on the coach. Even doing roll calls during the journeys.
If the parents did this the school would no doubt get social services involved or visit the house.
The parents should try private school or home-school and do their own outings.
The school needs to change their slogan.

A shout out to all teachers in the week one pupil attempted to murder one of his.
The above incident is a mistake GM. Some of us work with spreadsheets and reports and make mistakes, others with children. Let's be kind.
(No I am not a teacher - just a parent continually impressed by the dedication and commitment this underpaid profession shows to my children).
Yes, but you do regular headcounts if you are transporting children.
I remember going on a boring trip to a computer fair when I was fifteen or sixteen, and I had no intention of staying there, though some of the boys were thrilled with it.
We were firmly told that the coach would not wait for us and if we were more than five minutes late we must make our own way home.
It was local, so I did.
Unknown to me, the coach was held up for a hour and the police informed.
Next day I explained to the headmaster how I nipped into the cathedral at lunchtime and was so overwhelmed by the beauty that I didn't notice the service starting, and it would be rude to walk out in the middle.
He was quite touched.
I was actually in "Ye Cracke" getting sloshed.

We went to old castles, battle fields, farms, zoo's, museums. It was getting to the stage where school was becoming more enjoyable. We were invited for TV taping of some kids show, I couldn't stand kids TV and the show. However I remember one primary school teacher who was a devout Protestant, very rare for Catholic Ireland in those days (I am an Atheist, even back then).
She was a few years away from retirement but was active for her age, she took a class of troublesome boys including me for 6 hour coastal hike, that was a good day. Even then there was headcounts and roll calls even though there was only about 7 of us.
A mistake that a child suffers and parents suffer for Wyot. All my teachers were a waste of space. If a child wanted to try murder a teacher, what did the teacher do? A lot of them are bullies who go to teaching college after finishing school.
One teacher was a barman before teaching and he was still boring, no anecdotes, interesting stories and no sense of humour.

I know GM. Some people work in areas where if mistakes are made there can be terrible consequences: social workers, teachers, medical staff etc. And like in any area of life if things can go wrong they sometimes will.
I just wish society were gentler and more understanding. We need to thank people who put themselves in these positions not vilify them; even if inevitably some are not suited.
They are making good use of their lives by helping others, and the others who risk nothing more in their work than making or losing money should show more humility and respect.
How long does PTSD last?
How quick does it take to quick kill someone?
Can social services and teachers heal the harm they have done or even bring back the dead?
There are probably thousand of nonces teaching they just having been caught yet...it's only illegal if you are caught!
Will social services reverse their awful decisions or it "Lessons will be learned?" It reminds me when rail companies mentioned "Wrong type of snow" when they were unorganized.
Can medical negligence heal the wounds or trauma?
Highlighting the harm that can be done when these professions "go wrong" just makes me admire the professionals more. What character to take such professional and personal risks. Were that I was so brave.
You remind of a MP.
