As encouraged by The Guardian (used to be my favourite paper - now amongst the worst), we see the advent of SPIRITUAL ABUSE. Replacing sexual abuse and preferably about dead people. Watch the Civil Claims against the church pour in now (which will, of course, settle out of court whilst heartily condemning the dead vicar and saying his spiritual abuse was appalling and their main concern is protecting the vulnerable).

Doesn't his religion itself use "scripture and the idea of hell to control people"? As he is accused of.

There seems to me to be some blurring of accountability here.

Also, aren't people free to attend another church? But yes, collective madness continues to engulf us...
