I fell out with her when I was writing/producing The Brits. She had won Best International Female (wonderful song by Prince, mainly a triumph of producer/video maker and my friend label boss Nigel Grainge) and though booked to perform didn't turn up on the night so instead of showing the video (again) I showed a video of another nominee Whitney Houston doing The Star Spangled Banner at the Superbowl (which I had been to that year - she was incredible). Sinead and the record company were furious. Like George Michael a few years later (stars really do think they are special and most behind-the-scenes people bow down to them; I was lucky enough to have been both - as I pointed out to George acidly side of stage).
A few months later I bumped into Sinead on the street (she lived near me) and she was actually very sweet, apologetic (and hugely attractive).
