I'm banking on a fabulous, sunny late August/September for the UK. Will I be wrong?

I have only used stockings for two things.

1.For children, I put a tennis ball in the toe, tie a knot at the top and they do games bashing it against a wall and jumping over.

2. I sometimes store onions hung up inside one.

I have a feeling in my water we are in for a couple of scorching weeks in a week or two...

I certainly hope so as I am never ready for my wooly tights until late October...

Yes and followed by my favourite season Autumn, the leaves on the floor and wood smoke in the air. While there is much I decry about this country, I would miss the seasons if I left...

You would love Vermont Wyot, try book an Autumn holiday there next year and go for a cabin break. You could do swimming, fishing, bike riding or even skiing.

Yes I think you are right GM - on my list. Except the skiing - everyone I know over 40 who does that sort of thing returns with a broken something or other.
