Fascinating, driving from Annecy in France into Switzerland (NOT in the EU) - no border controls at all; no cars even slowed, let alone stopped. Not a cop in sight. Straight through. Ten years ago my car was stopped - I had to show passport and buy a sticker to use the motorways. Now - nothing. Why can't we do the same in the UK? Just let everyone in and deal with it. Of course there will be a few baddies - but probably not as many as already living here. For God's sake UK - grow up and face reality. Look at Switzerland.

One cheap ferry a week - 500 on board - charge something like £20 each (far less than small boats) - top security; process them each on landing (500 a week? Fast and easy). No small boats. No deaths. Decency. Humanity. Simples. Yet mad Brits cannot see that.

Then off to the hotels.

The talk of processing people makes me cringe.

How do we know what is happening to them on the barges and secret hotels?

Why people want to move here puzzles me. Shipping containers as living accommodation is a joke, especially at a high prices.

It is only puzzling GM if you don't spend too long pondering what would drive anyone to make the journey in the first place...
