Rachel Riley, who I understand is a television presenter of some description, has said she will stop supporting Man Utd if they don't sack Mason Greenwood; because he was charged with sexual offences but the charges were later dropped by the CPS.

I scrolled for some time under the BBC article reading comments, and not a single person mentioned the presumption of innocence and due process.

We throw away our long fought for freedoms on the altar of "political correctness" at our peril. Has it not occurred to a single commentator that one day they may be accused of something they deny?

That their life can now be turned upside down by a malicious allegation. It has nothing to do with what Mason Greenwood is or isn't like. Has or hasn't done.

Did Covid do something to people's brains that stopped anyone being able to think rather than just react emotionally!?

recall her claims to fight antisemitism but zipped her lips when her TV co-star made a horrible "joke" about a positive of the Holocaust being the demolition of Romany folk.

How he thought anyone would find it funny is a mystery.

Oh yes I recall who she is now. I don't wish to sound other-wordy or elitist, but I just don't watch much TV at all these days.


Interesting how some people will only get outraged for some groups; again emotions and not being able to think in abstract but only concrete terms...

I am glad to say I don't know any celebrity or soccer player.

They all seem a waste of space IMHO .
