TOPIC: Lucy Letby UPDATE

Lucy Letby UPDATE 1 Year, 10 Months ago
I'm getting very worried about this. For a start it illustrates the way that organisations now ALWAYS back the woman (and it is often a woman) who claims to be the victim (in Letby's case - of prejudice by the male doctors).
Secondly, more and more people are starting to criticise the police, CPS and Judicial behaviour during and before the trial.

Whole Truth

Re:Lucy Letby UPDATE 1 Year, 10 Months ago
As in much of the 1980s ongoing FMR/Fraud Market Racket.

The so called 'NHS' has long been the NHI/National Health Industry.

Where mammonite managers for Ratings & Profit, RULE eminent medics for Health & Welfare.

Hypocrite Oafs now RULE the Hypocratic Oath.

Allit, Shipman, Letby were 'let be' by bean-counting managers over-ruling concerned consultants.

I would encourage everyone to view the 2014 Dutch film “Accused (Lucia de Berk)”. It is an eminently watchable film in itself but is certainly a general study in justice miscarriage and how such things come about. In particular of course it is very pertinent to the Letby case. I’m sure had her legal team watched it there would have been a more robust defence.

That does not mean she actually is innocent of course

I remain on the fence about Letby but I'm very aware of how both Police and CPS use the system to get people convicted. They are generally unable or uninterested in the Presumption of Innocence and in examining other possible suspects or situations. So they will ALWAYS pile as many charges as possible onto a charge sheet. Example - if one person claims to have been abused once, that becomes half a dozen different allegations of breaches. Kidnapping; violence; rape; abuse; co-ercion etc etc. This influences jurors AND Judges. And the agenda becomes - find evidence (or details that can be PAINTED as evidence). Exaggerate it. Inflate it. And suffocate the defence with a barrage of charges.

As a result, many seemingly safe convictions, especially when backed by a barrage of media coverage (media also ALWAYS colours the facts - we have to, in order to make it a better story), are often, on examination, found to be flawed or even false.

Look at the Malkinson case. Look at the Sally Clark case. Look at the David Bryant/Danny Day case. And those are just the tiny tips of the iceberg. There are hundreds - actually thousands - of miscarriages of justice. People who cannot afford to fight or simply give up remain in jail or with wrecked lives. Or dead.

If you are even slightly intrigued or bothered by this, you should read both The Nicholas Cases (Woffinden) and The Secrets of Bryn Estyn (Webster).

You'll never accept the results of trials again.

As I've said I've not decided one way or the other as I know nothing about the case apart from media coverage - but media hasn't told me (I assume and hope the Jury was told) how many deaths in the clinic Letby was NOT there for (must be dozens). And how many deaths (not just the ones police decided to investigate, as Letby had been there) OTHER nurses and Doctors were present at.
That's just one of many questions a decent judge at a proper trial would have demanded to be told. Likewise, how many Letby friends, family and supporters gave evidence. Surely dozens to counter balance the prosecution ones? The Judge would - should - have insisted on it. How many experts on the defence side regarding those awful notes and scribbles of hers were called to explain whether they could have been the insane ramblings of a nurse accused or suspected of dreadful crimes?

SOOO any questions. Hopefully the Jury asked for or heard replies on these and many more and decided accordingly. But I must admit to doubting the ability of most jurors, many judges and most lawyers, as well as knowing for certain the devious nature of some police and CPS.
