The mugshot of a bull looking at a red flag. I can't stand Trump and oppose 90% of his policies but admire his courage, determined to fight the dirty tricks used by his opponents (91 criminal charges? Exactly the same bundling technique used by bent cops across the world). Good for him.
What is happening to Trump is further example of my theory that Democracy does not work.
It was fine in the early days when media was far less wide spread and dominant. In those days people tended to vote for men they considered more capable of governing well and honestly.
As media grew, people started voting because of simple slogans and image (nice hair and teeth etc). Which sometimes worked well if the candidates had great PR advisors (Margaret Thatcher - using gender for example - lower your voice; improve your hairstyle etc). Tony Blair the main triumph. And Bill Clinton. Obama.
Trump (like Farage in Britain - Piers Morgan etc) realised this and got elected despite media opposition. I suspect they will fail in their attempt to stop his current campaign and he'll be re-elected in a landslide (horror) because Trump and his team are far better at this than the stupids against him. And then, if he has any sense, he'll enact laws stopping this kind of thing in future and constructing a Presidency that is more like a Dictatorship (disaster unless it's a benign autocrat). I think the Putin dictatorship illustrates how the stupid punters can be dominated.
Until - as in North Africa - there is revolution. Leading inevitably to disaster (look at Libya). Eventually returning to dictatorship, overthrown (becoming a disaster - look at Tunisia) and the cycle continues. Meanwhile, distract the majority and the media (Covid; Brexit; Ukraine) with simplistic dramas and inflated headlines. TWO PEOPLE KILLED IN MASSIVE BOMB ATTACK!!!! FOUR OLD LADIES DIE FROM KILLER FLU!!!!!
can't agree that he is brilliant..karma has struck. He brought all this upon himself with Jan 6th when he should have maintained an "elder statesman" attitude..absolutely hopeless tactics for the next election.
I note you say you didn't agree with his policies but he didn't have any..just coasted along saying any old thing.

With Hedda on this one and I think he is indeed finished, politically anyway. No mastermind he.
