I'm afraid the more I read the more I see a Police/CPS/media highly efficient campaign and the more I wonder about the verdict.

The "grim momentoes" she "collected" included handover notes taken from the hospital. A diary where she had marked the days the babies on her ward died. And a post it note containing the words. "I am evil. I did this."

An alternative narrative -

She was suspicious of someone else on her ward and so was reading the notes and keeping tabs on the dates for that reason? What if she was worried she had done something wrong with no intent and would be blamed so wanted them for evidence? She was a nurse in intensive care: it must have been an awful day when a baby died. Diaries are for recording stuff, the good and the bad.

The post it note where she wrote she was evil also mentions a Police Investigation. It is a note from a highly distressed mind ("I will never have children", "mum and dad don't deserve me").

What if she had low self esteem and self hatred anyway? What if she came to believe - in some moments - that she had done it, before snapping out of the fantasy.

What is the "it" anyway? Perhaps it is letting her parents and friends down for being on shift so often and not being able to help the babies? Perhaps it was not caring enough to blow the whistle on dangerous practices of others?

I have no idea, obviously. But given how easily alternatives are to be found to the accepted narrative, I am surprised that anyone on this alone could say "beyond reasonable doubt" that she murdered them.

Being on shift every time? Oh come on, statistics, statistics...

God, I hope there is more to her conviction than the above.

And if there isn't; that she actually is guilty.

Speaking in general terms only, I see the scribblings of mentally troubled girls very often, and they can be quite graphic. It is encouraged to let out feelings and thoughts onto paper.

It will differ according to the illness, but my impression is that it is very often the fear of causing harm, and imagining that they have, that inspires scribblings such as "it is all my fault" and "I have killed them" if someone dies.

These people are not actually murderers, just upset and fearful, so I am haunted by this lady's writing being taken as a confession.
Just in case.

I'm uneasy about this verdict yet I've heard no evidence. Just a feeling.

It's entirely possible that Ms Letby is indeed innocent. Bearing in mind the UK's appalling history of wrongful convictions- the Birmingham Six, Guildford Four, Maguire Seven, plus the very many falsely convicted for sex crimes.
