Who could blame him? When MPs are judged by media coverage of false - or true - allegations, and not on their ability or skills who would want to be an MP?

Who would want to be a footballer in the UK when disproved false allegations mean you are treated as a rapist?

Who would want to be a media person when no Editor wants you to find the truth - only a good story?

Who would want to have sex with anyone when any kind of proposal, approach or suggestion is considered rape and the accuser "must be believed"?
