RIP Michael Gambon 82 1 Year, 10 Months ago
One of my favourites - a better Dumbledore than Harris. One of a breed (I'm seeing two others in Frank and Percy soon).

This may be heartless, but if anyone sees The singing detective repeated as a tribute, can you give me a shout please?

I have never seen it despite many attempts.

The Singing Detective was made in 1986 and had just six excellent episodes.

All available to watch on the free streaming site - Frostwire, which even has an app.

Slightly old and dated now - but the source of many old and some new movies and series.

Very sad news. I hate it when great actors are referred to as Harry Potter stars, when they have done much better films in their time.

The MSM have to cater for Gen Z.

I remember him vaguely in that awful sitcom The Other One with Richard Briers. Britain seems to be the champions for awful sitcoms, second is Canada, third is USA.

Absolutely. When Sir Ian goes all we will see is pics of him dressed up as a friggin wizard and described as "The Hobbit Star"!

RIP MG. He was a fine actor and The Singing Detective Honey very well worth watching - though alas I saw it when I was about 14 so can only really recall all the sex bits...
