Any invasion or killing is wrong but where exactly does Israel stand on Gaza? Have they obeyed UN decisions regarding what is Palestine? If not and if settlers have been invading Palestine, are we in a similar situation to Russia/Crimea? Israel is better at PR than Palestine but should that convince us (or the USA)?

Stupid uneccessary killing from both sides with massive marches and protests for one side or the other all over the world. Millions think there is nothing wrong with humans killing each other for no reason at all. Bonkers. Lethal Lemmings.

If someone decent was in charge of Israel there would be NO retaliation but strong concentration on defence which would get huge international support. Instead millions of innocent Palestinians will be brutally killed and all support for Israel will disappear.

Wouldn't it be magnificent and a game changer to see wisdom demonstrated on the global stage? Instead, as you note, troops of chimps bare teeth at territorial borders.

The proxy war in the middle east deepens as US warships head to the oil wells. Putin rubs his shaky hands together as his proxy war becomes easier. China watches quietly, inching technical tentacles around the world, biding time.

How much longer can the wars remain proxy? Our wisdom has not grown with our technology. We needed another thousand years we don't have for that.

So now what shall we see? Israel kills thoousands in Gaza (even now the amount of deaths appears to be 700 each side). Equally innocent women and children. STUPID. An eye for an eye? Has humanity learned nothing. It's as though the Holocaust should have prompted thousands of innocent German deaths in Munich, Berlin, Hamburg.

The Israeli Defence Minister has said they are "fighting human animals and will act accordingly." If even those descended from a generation gassed by Nazis and deliberately called non-human to facilitate this horror can say this - and be supported - humanity has learned nothing.
