This is so good; some of our finest British actors it. Toby Jones, Daniel Mays, Lee Ingleby, David Morrissey, great stuff; good script; WAY better than the dreadful The Reckoning!

I'm enjoying this programme, but it does take a rather simplistic view of the late 70s, that all men were deeply sexist, didn't respect women, and treated women as mere sex objects. As a child at the time, women were our teachers, our nurses, our mothers, and sisters and most men or boys were very respectful of them and generally liked them.

Also the feminism of the time was about women "reclaiming the streets", going out supporting each other and defying the imminent danger of the Yorkshire ripper. These days with "Me Too", it would be more about women needing chaperones to go out and been in constant danger of men.
