TOPIC: History repeats itself

History repeats itself 1 Year, 6 Months ago
I have not seen black Israelite's rallies in years, I used to seem a lot like the Black Panthers. Where things used to kick off in to fights and cool down.

The police and government will have no idea what to do if this escalated to something else. If there was Orthodox Jews in the mix, there will be a civil war throughout the UK and West.

Tell me the benefits of living in the UK? Ireland is just as bad.

Benefits?

The unhindered ability to reside elsewhere, should you so wish.

I can't wait to retire and leave the septic tank, that people call Great Britain...What's great about it?

I was hoping a business venture I had would of been the golden egg to retire on. It was thwarted by the government and their lockdowns.

I didn't get any help from the government. I had to lay off staff also. Even the contracts I had with small businesses are worthless because the owners closed down their establishment permanently.

Tell me what the benefits i the UK again.

I'm with Barney on this one GM. Overall, we are lucky to live in the UK. We could argue details, but we are a free country that despite the pot holes and NHS waiting lists in some areas, enjoys, on the whole, a relatively luxurious standard of living...

What is "free" about it?

Taxes, red tape, crap police forces with two tier systems throughout the isle, censorship, corrupt government and oppositions. Expensive and very little free dentistry. In the US even the homeless and people in trailer parks get to see dentists with ease and free for them, no matter what treatment it is.

Do please enlighten me.

That you can post the above with impunity, for one.

Green Man, isn't the solution as clear as day? If you don't like the UK, go somewhere else. There's over 200 countries on earth. Few though could replicate (imo) the joy of having a pint or four, on the Quay in Poole - on a hot summer's afternoon.

I hate it when people say things like "the answer is go and live elsewhere". It's just part of the bonkers superficialisation process. There is rarely only one answer to most questions. Someone may hate many things about somewhere and love many others. For God's sake stop thinking in stupid media extremes.

A two tier Tory system since 1950s SuperMac, Marples, Beeching pirate-ised and cut-back the public-service railways for private profit over peoples' paid for public service. While Tory Transport Minister Marples vested interest was in building Marples-Ridgway motorways, and first opened the M6 Preston bypass on 5 December 1958, followed by the M1 London to Birmingham in November 1959.

And since then, almost all UK public services Phone/Mail/Comms/Electric/Coal/Gas/Water/Health/Prisons have beeen pirat-ised and sold cheap (often to foreign owners) for profit over people.

Now with a UK National Health INDUSTRY/NHI, much foreign owned and run into the ground by (untrustworthy) Trust Managers bean-counters over highly qualified consultants.

Bean-counter accountants too often knowing the price of everything and the value of nothing.

It's not always easy to. Barney, is using slogans like the Tories.

Barney, I can't stop everything and go. Like I said I can't afford to retire yet, unless you have spare money.

Poole is another Dorset shit hole BTW. I go there a fair bit.

It's easier for students to move abroad as they are tech savvy and a lot of is remote.

I love being self employed, always done for 30 plus years!
