Alexei Sale and Stephen Fry both signed a letter in 2008 along with numerous high profile British Jews criticizing Israel over it's treatment of Palestinians so what has happened in the meantime..has Fry become more "conservative" or wedded to the Zionist cause?
Have I missed Fry or Sayle calling for or supporting the murder of Palestinians Hedda?
They are calling out hatred of and violence towards Jewish people. This in no way defends what the IDF is doing. Forgive me, but this sort of response is as nonsensical as IDF apologists conflating ordinary Palestinians with Hamas.
Hedda wrote: No Fry never mentioned the deaths of 10,000 Palestinian children while Sale said Zionists lie and lie and lie ad infinitum.
So do you also draw assumptions when those who criticise Israel's atrocities against Palestinians don't mention the Israeli's who have been killed by Hamas?

no.
I thought Fry's "message" a missed opportunity.
I see.
Most critics of Israel too then are missing opportunities daily. I wish every comment on the violence would just call both Hamas and IDF evil murdering scum and stop equivocating. Though I am quite happy for IDF to be called this on a genocidal scale now.
It's a no win situation...support Israel you're far right...support Palestine you're a dangerous left wing nut job.
Of course people won't attack Palestinians openly, especially the celebrities (cancel culture) in case they get called [b]Islamophobic[/b] whatever that means.
Someone needs to stand up and tell them both sides that religion is nothing but fairy stories.

not sure about the fairy stories..so much anecdotal and written records on the birth of Jesus and I find it hard to critique anything he said.
I believe my claim still stands ..2 Jewish comedians happy to sign a letter supporting Palestine 10 years ago but taking differing paths today.
I don't think religion has anything much directly to do with the current conflict...People will always find tribal reasons for conflict; whatever the headline reason may be.
