TOPIC: XL Bully

XL Bully 1 Year, 1 Month ago
I saw one in Andover yesterday, it was walked by a group of youths. The dog was not fixed nor muzzled, it was pulling on the lead and snarling. They are not large dogs but strong and fierce. The XL looked at me like like his dinner, the girl walking it the hybrid just glared at me. I think she knew she was breaking the law.

The dogs are still at it, it's ok for the police for to kill these monsters but what can the public do? The government need to forget about cancer sticks and focus more on dogs and morons.

I was attacked by one about 40 years ago on an incredibly stormy night as it flew out of a garden and attached its vicious jaw to my leg making a huge wound.

I fought it off with an umbrella and got soaked and spent 3 hours in a hospital waiting for a Tetanus injection and stitches.

Savage unpredictable beasts.

When I see an XL in the street. They tend to be walked by travellers or a middle aged woman who seems to have a drinking problem or a group of youths with no control. Who are clearly not the alpha.

If an XL kills the owner I can't feel sorry for them.

This is another problem caused by lockdown...people got bored and took on dogs with no idea on pet care. Dogs need more than just a walk.

My dogs are getting on and are hybrids. I obtained them from a bloke down the bloke. The first thing I did was get them fixed and find dog schools. The dog trainer told me she never saw a breed like them.

She was happy that I took them to be trained and socialised as pups. I have never had a problem with but they are now old boys.

I have told many people if the dogs turned on anyone or another dog. I would destroy my dogs by myself.

I hate people even more.

A friends dog ate a chocolate birthday cake. We were to fussed and scared by the toxins in chocolate than worry about the birthday party itself.

The dog survived but it was touch and go. A dog stealing a treat is nothing new it fucking happens. Some people are just fucked, yet we are told to care for them in the community!

A very important, but invariably ignored fact is that:-

'Mother nature never intended that all dogs should be pets'.....

Like cats also.

I would love to have a badger as a pet but their DNA, animal traits, and genetic makeup don't allow it. Also it's against the law.

Not quite true, Barney. We have a symbiotic relationship.

The dogs that aren't domesticated pets are known as wolves...

No doubt hundreds of morons would keep those in a house with children too, confident that it is not the breed it is the owners.

Only not them, of course...

It is only very recently that we have locked dogs up all day in solitary confinement and kept them on leads when they are walked, and then we wonder why some go loopy.

It is a bit of both, really. You never see a thug with a King Charles Spaniel, do you?

Yes agreed but I do think there is a bottom line where some breeds are too powerful to be safely kept as household pets regardless of the owner's reading on a "thug-ometer".

But the correlation between ugly aggressive dogs and ugly aggressive owners is undeniable!

The problem is that backyard breeders can churn out aggressive dogs in just a few generations if that is what sells, so this will have to be tackled first, I expect?

If I was rolling in money and land, I would like to breed pocket sized chimps, just for my own amusement.

Re:XL Bully 7 Months, 1 Week ago
So another one has killed a dog and injured an innocent member of the public.

I remember when I was in Andover earlier in the year for work; there was a group of kids walking an XL, no muzzel and it was growling and snarling at everything and everyone.

The kids had no control nor were kids the Alpha. It could have easily pulled on the chain-lead and darted and bite someone. Even other people stopped and turned around to avoid it. I have only seen some off the lead, it's owner looked like an alkie and pot head. The dog didn't attack anyone but he didn't look friendly. Luckily there was no one walking too nearby.

There was lady who owned two near me, either she has moved or she got rid of the dogs. She didn't look like she had full control (if you can control XL's) but they were muzzled in fairness.

Always thought it's cruel to keep a bird as a pet simply because caging an animal that can fly with such freedom is wrong on every level. Birds and fish do not live long in confined spaces. As a cat I can assure you I say this quite selflessly. lol.

I never understood why people have birds have pets, they are free roaming animals and if they preyed upon by other birds it's natural selection.
