What sort of Karma is Israel creating for itself with such blatant savagery?
The German nation lived in much ignorance to the Nazi vileness but there is no ignoring events today. The web.
I'm waiting see how the Gaza situation plays out here in my suburb Bondi Beach which has the largest Jewish community..schools,kosher shops, synagogues etc.
I've noticed an absence of traditional outfits on the streets (winter?) when one would see groups of Jewish schoolkids in traditional garb etc.
There has been one incident at the beginning when photos of Hamas kidnapped Jews were pasted all along the Bondi boardwalk but were ripped down by beach goers. A few arrests.
Sydney also has a much larger Arab community in it's vast western suburbs but come Summer they flock to beaches like Bondi.
It's hard not to believe that Hamas and its ideas will have recruited a whole generation of children and young people (of those that manage to survive). Hamas surely couldn't have hoped for a more overwhelming response from Israel, condemnation of Israel and sympathy for the Palestinians.
It sounds as if Jewish people may be keeping a low profile in your neighbourhood, hedda. Maybe a sensible move if they're liable to face reprisals.
Oh I do agree; SUCH stupidity from Netanyahoo... the Jewish people deserve continuous and permanent sympathy and support from what a freak section of humanity did to it (and to gays and gypsies) but nobody could have ever believed that Israel would join that freak section in 2023.

Sounds like the Iraq war. I use to meet a lot of veterans who there mostly paratroopers. They told me the hardest thing to watch was seeing kids with guns on their back and a lot were were wired up to bombs. Some of the kids pretended to cry or say can't find their parents and then they hug a soldier which would set of the detonator; which was in the the palm of the kids hands.
