Operation Yewtree was a farce to some extent but innocent people lives were ruined.

I didn't, and still have no sympathy for this man. He made our trauma 10 times worse by spreading malicious lies that have now become "Internet truth". He will have no peace until he acknowledges what he did & apologises publicly and directly to me. I know JK tackled him on this subject several times.

His lies were that wicked that Karma took her revenge very quickly. D

After buying Jim Davidson's book about his time under investigation by Operation Yewtree, I considered getting Paul Gambaccini's, but was put off, on reading an extract on Amazon preview, by the self-regarding tone.

Do read it - it's good.
Paul was and remains a good friend. We all make mistakes as the hedgehog said when it climbed off the hairbrush.
I often fall out with friends (and did again with Gambo over Covid) but friendship takes in all aspects.
Stupid Brexit ruined more friendships than anything - I could never understand why.
I keep on fighting for what I believe in though many disagree with me.
It's my nature as the scorpion said to the frog.

I've requested a public enquiry 3 times via complaints to the IPCC about Operation Yewtree. I'm positive it'll happen, but I'm also positive it won't include me or SJS. Just like Carl Beech, EVERYONE will ignore the lies told about SJS. Everyone else will receive their apologies but I bet we'll be left out.

Good on you for repeatedly requesting a public inquiry. Here's hoping it does happen. But it would surely have to include the allegations against SJS if it were to make any sense at all. Surely the SJS allegations are the foundation for Operation Yewtree and what inspired false allegations against other people. I really hope this turns out well for you in the end. It's so unfair.

I definitely believe one of Rolf Harris's accusers wasn't just inspired by the Savile allegations but actually copied CR's story about SJS, as the RH accuser's paid pre-trial TV interview had at least 17 points in common with CR's story told to This Morning, broadcast and uploaded to YouTube seven months before the RH accuser's story was broadcast and uploaded to YouTube - the same RH accuser who said in a paid pre-trial magazine interview that she had become "fixated" on child sexual assault cases, which seems to suggest that she'd been researching the subject online. RH's original defence team were informed about parallels between the two stories, but according to the appeal judgment chose not to raise this issue with the jury as they didn't want them drawing parallels between RH and SJS. According to the judgment, the new defence team raised the issue on appeal but weren't allowed a "second bite of the cherry". (Still can't understand how anyone can do paid interviews pre-trial airing "evidence" that they subsequently are allowed to present in court. Insane!)

Can't believe it's been 12 years since all this erupted, and 10 since Rolf Harris was convicted.

CRs claims were wholly untrue and we proved it. WY Police had started an investigation into her and collected evidence and statements. The investigation was stopped by Operation Yewtree. She was their poster girl after all!
