I've cheated and watched the last episode - probably the best thing ever on TV. EVER.

The reason it is so good is again that it is subtle, no easy answers, and covers so much. Never did I think I'd find myself caring about the stupid Welsh language. My magnificent Sharon D Clarke is fantastic as always. (She was a Six Chix). But the whole cast is superb (the one playing the Lost Mum almost steals the whole series). Incredible script. I INSIST you watch the entire series on iPlayer but have ten packs of Kleenex ready for show 3. I had not one dry eyed second for the whole show. Extraordinary TV. Gave me hope for humanity. Our saviour might just be the media if talent like this still exists.

The actress playing the birth mother is Gwyneth Keyworth and I hereby guarantee her the Best Actress BAFTA in the next show.

Just watch X light up at 10pm on Monday 17th June after the final episode of Lost Boys when Gwyneth Keyworth's name gets flagged - a stupendous performance. Great script too, of course, but what a delivery. Masterclass in great acting.
