The Manifesto launch is everything I hate about politics - truisms, cliches and incompetence. Nobody dares speak the truth. Nobody knows how to fix the mess.
They still haven't got the balance right. Applause sounds like five people. Starmer sounds far louder and really doesn't need to stop whilst a few supporters clap every few seconds. Awful incompetence. If Labour can't even get the audio right, how can they sort out the country - under Starmer? At least Corbyn/McDonnell seriously intended change (often the wrong kind, in my opinion, but like Thatcher, with genuine intentions).
I don't know how you can bear watching it - braver man than me!
But I have read the Labour manifesto without having to look or listen to Starmer or Raynor and I think there is some good stuff in there.
The Tory press of course is now at screaming hysteria pitch at the prospect of any wealth re distribution, with a Telegraph headline saying middle Britons will need to emigrate...

All manifestos look good on paper. However, when a party wins it's all lies. Tories, Libs, Greens and Labour just want to bankrupt the country and live under socialism. Own nothing and be happy.
