Note I don't like Assange or some of his actions but he has been treated appaling and vindictively.

Remember when the establishment tried to get him for rape? That soon went quiet.

Assange will be come a billionaire through books, TV, movie contracts. Not forgetting he make money from Youtube or Apple podcasts. Is the establishment wheels slowly coming off?

Undoubtedly, the agreement entered into with the USA will include gagging orders for Assange - and a long list of prohibited activities.

there is an Australian law that says you cannot "profit from crime" via publishing deals etc.

There seems to be ways around that as the former Aussie Gitmo prisoner David Hicks wrote a book of his ordeals.

I met Hicks at a charity event and he seemed like a friendly chap but as I tried to grill him about his imprisonment he said "buy the book"
