Perhaps for a short time and inflated by hopeless polls but I reckon..as I had a strange feeling Trump might die...he will go downhill mentally.
Trump has such obvious beginning dementia ..yes yes I know about Biden but he has old age condition which makes his stutter and train of thought merge at times but does not have dementia. His age is a concern of course just as Trumps is although aided by numerous medications
Neither Gerald Ford or Ronald Reagan were ever same again after being shot.. Nancy Reagan basically ran the country.
I've interviewed several people injured during WW2 and even the slightest wound causes a real mental health problem.
But we shall see.
Note; not a Trump fan obviously and not a Biden fan..the facilitator of of the killing of Palestinian children

Trump was already polling ahead of Biden.
It's Interesting with Regan, I think he would of won even if there was not an assassination attempt. He was a Grove attendee and mixed well in the politcal circles.
With Reagan that polling didn't really matter and was already high anyway as he'd only been President for two months at the time so was still on his political honeymoon.
I agree on Trump and polling now. As long as he stays breathing he wins the election and retakes office on 20th January 2025 for sure. This finally sealed it.
What poll were you referring to which demonstrates I am.ome of the very few who are unaware of what the outcome will be?
There might be a spike of support after the assassination attempt, or any such support may endure or reverse. The swing voter percentage in the US is very small compared to Britain.
The polls are of such small numbers of people out of 330 million are meaningless.
Nothing will change after zTrump resumes his vicious attacks and he is being criticised for failing to contact the family of the killed fireman and failure to contact to other gunshot woun victims in hospital.
HE He went golfing instead..terrible optics after Biden contacted all victims although the family of the killed fireman did not take the call.
People are fantasising here.. Trump wll not change and Bidens winning margin.
Democrats vote onpolicies and Biden stats are good.
The 30% core MAGA mob vote on emotions the minority of Republicans vote on policy.
Its not too dissimilar to the ghastly minority vote for Keir Starmer who couldn't even beat Corbyns votes.
As always..can't bear Trump whose arrogant bitching is a nightmare while I loathe Biden for facilitating the deaths of 10s of 1009s Palestinians.

A quick look at the polls might help: Some of the biggest leads ever, and growing.
I have a lot of friends in the States through work relationships and have spoken to some since Saturday night including three who openly confessed to going for Biden in 2020 and being quite strongly against Trump that year but have admitted they now view Biden so poorly that unless he is taken off the ticket this November they are going for Trump. Two of them live in New York State.
I can understand this even as a Brit. In 2020 I'd have gone for Biden to get rid of Trump but now I find myself seemingly sympathetic to Trump and wanting him to win since the weekend and I've tried to fight that inclination without success. I think the weakness of Biden makes this easier than it would have been with a stronger and more sharp President in place.
One other thing those I know Stateside said to me - Harris is the answer nobody wants.
Even if Biden is ahead in the national vote share by a couple of percentage points over Trump he still loses the election due to the electoral college and how it favours Republicans. Infact he has to be ahead of Trump by about 5% to be sure of winning and getting to 270 in the electoral college. So when you see that Trump is maybe 2 or 3% ahead of Biden he's really about 7 or 8% in reality.
