Re:The False Allegations Industry scores again. 11 Months ago
While I have no idea of the truth in this matter it's clear there is a real problem for teenagers or anyone dealing with the public in a way like this deceased priest.
This term "harassment" is now bandied about to cover just about anything when 2 people have an interaction.
I really worry about my friends who have teenage boys..will they be accused of "harassment" if they fumblingly try to pick up a girl in a bar.
If they successfully end up going home together will the girl have regerets the next day and claim she was gotten drunk on purpose so he could "rape" her?
Honestly it is so hard for young people these days with absolutely everything in trying to get ahead let alone personal interactions.
We Baby Boomers had the very best the world could offer..coming out of the dreary 50s into the exciting 60s, 70s 80s it was a world at it's very best time.
Young people (and priests , vicars) tread a wary path.

Agree with a lot of what you are saying Hedda but I don't see much evidence of any volume of young men being done now for such matters.
It may be that changing social norms mean that "casual fondling"/arse groping etc, which an older generation viewed as "harmless fun" isn't so viewed any more. That things have improved for women, and young men aren't at more risk because of the number of historical matters being judged against current norms.
