I've only attended one Olympics..the 2000 Sydney Olympics where I was privileged to be in the same reception room as the great Mohammad Ali who was not only very tall and frail but shone like he had an aura about him.
Some 3 years before I traveled to Sydney from London and attended some pre-Olympic receptions and met an ancient athlete who had actually competed at the 36 Berlin Olympics and received a Gold Medal from Adolf Hitler.
A asked him what his impression of Hitler was..he responded.."pasty faced with dreadful halitosis".

Hitler was known to have bad breath and all round poor hygene.
