Leeds 11 Months ago
This little area of Leeds is one of many no-go zones in the country. The police did a runner FFS. When I was at an anti-lockdown protest and march they had no issues arresting people or using force.

I bet the police are now in their offices looking at social media for naughty memes and hope the mob gets bored.

Yvette Cooper is doing her best not to offend and to tell the truth about what is going on in Leeds. I wish the public did what the rioters are doing during lockdowns.

There are going to be generations of people with anger issues, no understanding of boundaries and won't be able to read body language. Those are jabbed are also part of the problem.

It could escalate, of course; and could do so because of media coverage. But from what I can tell this was confined to a street or two and has been hugely inflated as a "riot"

Leeds is similar to a very high percentage of areas in this country - under every type of heading. Social, economic, law and order etc.

The article doesn't say what kind of people are causing the disturbance. Youths? Adults? Males? Females?

All the while, hundreds of people look on and film the scenes on their phones.
Mindless. So many smartphone zombies around these days.

Some sources say Romanian others say Mudlim. I wouldn't be surprised if women were involved in the riots. Women can fight rough just like men can in some cases more violent.

Groups stick together and stick up for eachother. There's is never a fair fight in certain communities.

Having seen that people online are claiming that these were "race riots", went looking for info and found this.

‘We’re in it together’: how unrest in Leeds escalated – and was defused

People – male and female, and of all races – were seen lobbing bricks and bottles at officers, hitting riot shields, as the police retreated into their vans.

Needless to say, Nigel Farage and Tommy Robinson can't miss an opportunity to play the race card.

Harehills, Leeds: what caused riot and who was responsible is now a matter for the police

Where is the race card Jo?

There is more going on in London. Labour legacy so riots and destroying the landscape for new builds.

It's like a popcorn moment IMHO.

Are police scared of no-go zones in case they offend the wrong religion or race? Police do love to pick those drifting over the speed limit, post the wrong things on social media or carrying your national flag.

I do sense a civil war is coming which in no doubt be the next Black Swan. Unprovoked attacks are on the rise.

Was the Police car that was over-turned a decommissioned curiosity owned by one of the locals then GM?

This minor local incident is being hugely inflated by media, and jumped on by right wing hysterics.

The idea that it is linked to Labour is laughable.

You could go up there with a camera and be an investigative journalist.
