MINDLESS 10 Months, 1 Week ago

The rioting and those doing it are mindless. Actually they are not; they just reflect an aspect of the minds of a very few teenagers and young people (plus some who never grew up) whose instinct is to destroy, hurt, loot, be violent. It is essentially identical to children who used to tear the wings off flies.

This is an interesting link for those who want an anti-dote to the constantly depressing news, talk online of loomimg "civil war" and who suspect the media is inflating this issue:

It is a handful of travelling idiots doing this and communities are far closer-knit than we are being made to think. Crime is a "fraction" of what it was in 1995, and anti-social behaviour.

If this guy is anything to go by, it looks as if being very thick might also have something to do with it. The interviewer tries and tries to get through to him with logic, but nope. I was wondering if some of them could be intelligent but failed by the education system, but perhaps impenetrable thickness is more likely.

The police are investigating but where were they when they were in large groups, gathering around the pub and roundabouts? I have seen more police on patrol at at very low level non-league football games. Is Keir Starmer on holiday or not? That interview is very illuminating Jo. Do these rioters not know there are cameras absolutely everywhere these days? Anonymity is no longer guaranteed.
