WTF shoud he? Huw Edwards 10 Months, 4 Weeks ago
The BBC has asked Huw Edwards to return £200,000 that he was paid following his arrest in November last year, after the disgraced presenter admitted making indecent images of children.

You can ask but it does not mean you will get it.

I have feeling his lawyers will ask Huw to give it back, why are newsreaders on a nice little earner just for looking at a teleprompter?

He was asked to pay back the money to satisfy the faux outrage of people like GB News who claim to be so in favour of freedom of speech, but only for people that they agree with.

Yes on that logic he should be made to repay his entire career wages because he has brought the bbc into disrepute. Gesture bollocks from the bbc, who know it further tarnishes their reputation; even though it shouldn't. Stupid world.

Yes he probably will.

I suppose he's made a fortune over the years.

I'm amazed at the size of the salaries of many broadcasters.

When I watch it online the "Free Speech" catchphase is getting phased out. They are bound by Ofcom like all broadcasters.

They will never have Tommy Robinson on because they could cut what little advertisement revenue they have. What the media will never say much about whites are now the minority in certain areas. Nor do we have the full stats of everyone in the UK. Not everyone fills in the Census, there can be up to 20 living in a single house in some areas. Not forgetting illegal sub-lettings.

My sister in law lives in the Midlands she is one of the very white people in the street, she does not get real problem apart from the odd door kicking and then asked "Are you Muslim?" in agressive tone. In some cases human shit gets flung over her garden wall. Police and council won't do nothing.

Why do people think deleting a Tweet is a good idea, when the Tweets can always be found?

I am surprised Neil Oliver still has a job at GB News when Mark Steyn was fired for saying the same things. Neil must have a lot of dirt on GB News or saw a staff member getting rammed over the desk, that's how it normally works.

Last week I heard someone utter one of the most crazy things imagineable. Some daft self appointed "media commentator" actually suggested that the historical programmes that Edwards fronted for the BBC such as his announcement of the Queen's passing, should be AI generated to remove his face as the presenter and replaced with another acceptable face of the BBC instead as if he never actually did the historic broadcasts he did. What is this madness?

Perhaps the next BBC General ELection night can be fronted by AI avatars of Richard Dimbleby and Cliff Michelmore at this rate.

I wish that both World Wars had never happened but simply erasing them from all history books, TV shows and historical record so nobody can read about them wouldn't change the fact they did actually take place and affect hundreds of millions.

all applicable.....

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”

"Who controls the past controls the future; who controls the present controls the past."

“The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became the truth.”

And it would also deny us the opportunity to learn from the wars.

I can't stand the man but the always dubbed over Gerry Adams real voice for many years.

There was other news outlets who made the announcement about the Queens death but the BBC would need to pay a licence. Quite ironic really.

Instead of asking Huw Edwards to pay back the 200K salary may I suggest that this money should instead come out of the probably over inflated pay of the person who signed his continuing salary off in the first place. Failing that, the BBC DG can re-imburse the licence taxpayer himself.

If I was Huw Edwards there's not a chance I'd pay that money back. His reputation is now in the gutter beyond redemption anyway so what does some bad publicity about him keeping a couple of hundred grand amount to, not much on top of the ruination of his whole reputation.

All true Chris.

The next stage is the "disgraced Huw" and the endless paparazzi shots of him going to the supermarket or passing a school that is 30 minutes and 5 miles away as though a convicted person no longer has the right to privacy and a life.

Just as Rolf Harris was hounded by a hideous British gutter tabloid mentality.

All pandering to a ghastly populace that believe their lives were rooned by immigrants or Muslims and it's all the likes of Huw's fault.

So the finance dept head of the BBC should pay back a staff member's salary when they had been convicted of no offence? Brilliant. Let's hope you aren't falsely accused and still have a mortgage to pay off Chris.
