It's a phenomena I can't get my tiny brain around..the gay organisation..Log Cabin Republicans.
Gay Americans who vote "conservative" although I don't think the current Republicans are conservative in the way my old Ted Heath/ Harold Wilson gay friends were including the one closeted married gay Tory MP I was great pals with.
Of course it's ridiculous to think your sexuality may affect your vote except at the current time the Republicans seem ragingly anti-gay and anti-LGBT..I always think sadly about those lonely gay or trans kids in Alabama or Georgia or some such state who may feel intensely lonely.
Gay Billionaire Peter Theil has become hugely influential in the Republicans and is allegedly the man behind J.D Vance's rise.
He has described the USA as being in a similar state to Weimar Germany but what does he mean and what does he think should happen?
I shudder to think a new Brown Shirts may arise. After all the boss was gay and found in bed with a young man when Hitler's troops murdered them.
I have US gay pals and 2 are registered Republicans but one says he's voting for Harris..the other skips over the question.

Gay Americans who vote "conservative"
I think it can be explained in the same way that millions of working class Americans (as Brits do for Tories) vote against their interests for Republicans - for people who despise them - can be.
People are easily influenced; to buy things or believe in things or people they don't need, or are no good for them. From cigarettes to "The Trump", this holds true down the eons.
Most people kid themselves that they "know" their own minds or even - as neuro-biologists such as the genius Robert Sapolsky outline in popular literature - are in possession of free-will.

The Labour party that our parents and grand parents voted for is not same prior Blair, Brown and Starmer. These are commies.
