Will the chemical firm face a hefty penalty like the pensioner is given 18 months for swearing at a copper?

Dumping cyanide in a canal has got to be 10 years plus fines. Not forgetting killing marine life.

Let's see if the establishment plays by the same rules when a big envelope is involved.

Yes the company will face a very significant fine. No pensioner has been jailed for swearing at Police. A 70 year old who took part in a riot armed with a "club" who happened to also be swearing as he resisted arrest, has rightly been jailed. A 70 year old resisted an arrest from arrogant, burley coppers. I would of loved to have seen that.

Most people I know in their 70s are just about plodding along.

The point is the right-wing media exaggerating and inflating for their own ends. He was not arrested just for swearing. He was arrested for involving himself in a riot, armed.

So many of those coppers attending riots seem quite slight and small.
