Another vaccine (I'm feeling like a pin cushion) to go along with my FLU jab and Covid booster (next month). Because I'm in the crucial 75-79 age group (just).
I must admit it's things like this which make me admire the NHS. As we age and start falling to bits they are pretty good at holding us together.
Apparently one of the health issues RSV (whatever it is???) can cause is pneumonia and as my doctor says "we don't want THAT again!".
The Mail on Sunday (September 8) had a good piece about RSV - with a Prof Finn saying that there was no reason why the jab shouldn't be continued up to 85 or 90.
Under the current system, I believe, this would have to be paid for by the patient/individual himself - as the NHS jab availability expires at 79.
