You would think this should be over on the Tipsheet board. No; it is not about music. It is a TV show about constructing a Boy Band - no, a young man band - which has nothing to do with music like BTS and the rest of KPOP. Fine for fans who like pretty boys or girls (most young Koreans look as though they could be either - part of the charm). Interesting for me as I used to do it (Bay City Rollers). Great choreography, style, look, haircuts, clothes and music was hardly mentioned. Nothing wrong with that - it is an acceptable part of the industry. But surely, if the music was great and had mass appeal it would cross over and make far more money, give far more pleasure to far more people.
But since the industry removed me in 2000, what can we expect?
