Predator Entrapment 'Entertainment' 8 Months ago
There seems to be a large increase of these so called predator catchers on You Tube. But this serious issue looks to be getting treated as fun entertainment for monetising. This is not something to be made for laughs. This one beggars belief, a 22 year old young man caught meeting what he thought was a 14 year old. There are some others where law enforcement is called and dealt with more responsibly, but should this even be happening and made for what is clearly entertainment.

No it should not be happening. I watched an horrendous one a couple of years in which a young man clearly with learning difficulties targeted by similar You Tube money makers. It later transpired the young man was looking for friendship and not sex. He was 16. He found it difficult communicating with people his own age and/or older adults. It was grotesque to watch. These people are not preventing child abuse and have zero interest in genuine victims. They are in it for the moolah it generates. Sick.

It is, I think, unfair to stream them being apprehended before they have even been charged, but when the courts treat child rape as casually as an unpaid TV license, you can hardly blame people for taking matters into their own hands.

I would say go ahead with the entrapment, but keep your filming private.

I think that's the most sensible attitude Honey. I've never watched such YT videos before now so it's opened my eyes. I'm not sure YT should be encouraging this type of stuff. I saw another one after the one stuck here which said it was all being streamed live on instagram. Couldn't some of these people make things worse or prejudice proceedings if those caught later appear in court. They all seem to be American don't they. I guess the law there allows this to proliferate. Money shouldn't be made out of such things, just catch them and hand them over with the evidence. Deliberate entrapment of such people in the name of creating YT content to make you personally well off financially just seems so wrong.

What I don't understand about all this is that not only is it entrapment but surely only a thought crime? They may not go through with any sexual activity. Or they may even have guessed the real age. I mean a bloody stupid thing to do full stop. But if no harm has been committed; on what basis is the punishment administered?

One of his Hunters got in serious trouble in the UK. They entraped the wrong guy, it was another bloke with the same name they harrased. The bloke met the hunter to try sort it out but he was bombarded with abuse and lies. It's amazing how many people have both the same names.

Many surnames come from common professions.

Another Hunter was caught out by his own team for sending crude messages.

Do the ends justify the means?

I've been looking at a few of these since I saw the thread.

This one really annoyed me. Titled "Pred think he won a Corvette, gets busted instead". But why did he need to humiliate an innocent family into believing their brother and uncle had won Corvette car like that and drag it out, the family had done nothing wrong. They are now humiliated by the con, the discovery about the family member and have it sitting online for others enjoyment.

Skeeter Jean apparently does a lot of these.

That fella has learnt he can make a very large amount of money out of entrapment with his monetised YT channel. Is any of this stuff is even admissable in court.

I've been watching some of these so-called influencers and pranksters on YT.

It's amazing how so many people devoid of any talent can make a living by being so boorish.I can't imagine how ordinary their rusted on fans must be.

Once again Andy Warhol was spot with his 15 minutes of fame quote.

I saw one where they caught a 21 year old chap in a superstore where he was meant to be meeting a 15 year old. He didn't meet the person though because they stepped as he was just ambling about the place waiting. None of the messages they'd shared were even sexual based either, just friendly chatter. In the end the biggest case they seemed to be making against him was the time and distance he'd taken to drive there. They called a police officer on him though, who simply gave him some friendly advice about being careful. Okay she was under age but it was only a six year age gap and some 15 year old girls can be as mature as 21 year old guys and appear similar age. But nothing whatsoever had actually happened other than some inoffensive chat.

Charlie Veitch comes to mind, I did find him entertaining at first but then he became an utter dick overtime. He insulted 2 strangers who were helping someone who had a fall, all Charlie could do was insult the 2 guys, there is no dignity with him.

Wandering Turnip and Wendall can walk around some of the roughest areas and they do meet some rough people but they never been in altercations.

Even Veitch ex girlfriend spoke about him, about bullying and he wanted her ex girlfriend's Dad to hit so he could go to the police, which is a pattern in his videos, He will stir and annoy someone they will end up being chased but he will run to the nearest copper.
