There was phase about 20 years ago that Aboriginals would syphon fuel from cars to sniff and sometimes drink for the alcohol content.
I don't want to go through the race route, but in the States the Black and Hispanic community are the minorities. but they make up over 50% to 55% of crime.
Alaska is beautiful but most the crime is done by white folk, most is booze related and a shit load of wife beating. There is alot of unhinged morons in Anchorage but it is weather related, which cause mood swings and it is expensive there.

Drug and alcohol abuse is indeed a great problem and from that flows marital abuse.
The general public have good intentions towards Indigenous Aussies but many myths flow..such as the $millions spent "on them" but which really doesn't actually reach the many remote under-privileged communities but is consumed by salaries for public servants.

And how do relative prosperity and opportunities map across black/hispanic and white communities? Level playing field?
