As the bits in the article you - all too predictably - neglect to re print describe, Sinwar was behind the Oct 7th attacks, and knew full well what the Israeli response would be.

He wanted what is going on in Gaza to happen, to his own people. He is equally as responsible for what is going on, for the Gazan child who has died from Israeli fire as I write these words, as the vile Netanyahu.

It is actually impossible to both care about what is happening to the innocents in Gaza and hero-worship someone like Sinwar. You have exposed yourself.

Why do you been an Ambassador for the UK Wyot? You could sort out some of the shit the elite has put us in.

Sinwar was described as a vicious psychopath and killer by those who knew him and I believe it.

However the manner in which it was done will no doubt produce a martyr.

I'm equally appalled by Israel's utter savagery and sheer blood lust.

The way Israel has systematically killed 100s of journalists and doctors and medical staff is a war crime.

Recall when the first Gaza hospital was bombed and Israel tried to blame a Hamas rocket gone off course.

It was a lie and since then they have systematically destroyed every medical facility in Gaza, every university without a single condemnation from the the US supplying them with weapons.

The Karma Israel is building for itself, the sheer hatred they are producing in the Middle East will resonate for decades.

I'm with Hedda. It is possible to be appalled by both Hamas and Israel. And very important that the West condemns both. But alas, they are arming and empowering Israel. 87 Gazans killed last night. They wont stop until everyone is dead.

Well that is one way to interpret history. But that was not my argument; so it is a curious response.

Let me try again, without resorting to intellectual by-passes such as DOH or SIMPLES.

My argument is that Sinwar, in trying to rectify this situation, these wrongs, had murdered not only innocent Israelis but DELIBERATELY brought on the murder of tens of thousands of his OWN oppressed people.

In my hopelessly soppy humanistic view this makes him as contemptible a figure as Netanyahu.

I shall clearly have to work on my powers of empathy in order to understand for what kind of person this would make Sinwar a HERO. A person, that is, going by your previous post, such as yourself.

However let's give this a go. I'm game if you are Whole Truth/Info/A View?

I suppose such a person would have to believe that the deaths of a seemingly unlimited number of people is justified in the name of revenge and/or political gain.
