In the day time. Why?

Fireworks should be sold on the day in small batches. There should be more licensed events for fireworks. Nothing is worse for pets than the 4th of July, morons even set them off during the day. I did find it amusing in the States, seeing people firing their fully auto guns, which are now banned in the U.S. if they were made before 1986.

The irony is firing guns in the air on the 4th of July is safer than fireworks and more animal friendly.

Even better than daytime fireworks, what about indoor fireworks. We used to have them at home.

At least you can close the curtains and see them in the day.
I cant see the point of letting off outdoor ones in the sunshine when they are pretty much invisible.
Unless there is a religious reason I am unaware of?

Indoors fireworks are good fun, we had some when I was a child and would sit at the dining room table looking at them. We may have actually had them at Christmas rather than Bonfire Night though. They were a bit like some of the experiments we used to do in the school chemistry lab, fizzing things and changing colours, sparkling things. A mini rocket may have mangaged to launch about two feet into the air. They wouldn't even scare the cat sleeping on a cushion nearby!

We had a display in my area on Friday evening and they wouldn't even allow the children to bring sparklers. I used to love sparklers and never knew anyone who got burned by them. But what I did see at my display was a number of grown men, some over sixty, on their own without children, waving lazer type light beams high into the air.

Not many people seem to do their own back garden fireworks nowadays, probably because they are so expensive.

The general public cannot buy fireworks in Australia.
