On Sunday morning a well known national press journalist, Allison Pearson of the Daily Telegraph, was visited at her home by two Essex police officers.

WHY?

All because she had used her birthright to free speech in the UK to write a comment on twitter. A comment she had not just written, it had been made LAST YEAR in 2023. Worse still, having shown up these officers refused to inform her the precise nature of the allegation or what it related to specifically.

It seems the police may be misusing the Public Order Act 1986 to pursue this.

Meanwhile how many people have not had a visit today after having had their home or person attacked through burglary or assault?

This is deeply sinister, all the hallmarks of a police state. What is going on and where does this all end? You would never have believed this even 5 years ago.

The police make puke, you can goose step and Nazi salute in front of the Pro-Israel protests the police won't bother about the the perps despite it being a form of hate and antisemitism. Tell the police you are anti-palestine they will cart you or give you verbal bollocking.

Report a burglary or a car theft to the fuzz, you are giving a police crime number on the phone and no officer will visit you nor give you help or support.

You can insult people all you like just as long it's not aimed at thinned skinners or their doggies. You will go to a kangaroo court, jailed and driven insane until you are either swinging or slashed. Prison terms for hanging or cutting your wrists.

Peter Lynch was no doubt on the nonce wing or wing for Muslims, the only way to handle the latter is by converting to Islam, which many prisoners do. There are 2 reasons for this. One is for protection and the second is for better food and privileges.

I would have thought prison suicides were a thing of the past by now.

Easy pickings Honey, not many officers will do the hard work. I remember when I was in court for my trail. I over heard 2 officers bragging, they enjoyed sitting in the car just catching speeding motorists; even if the driver was just drifting over the limit. They smirked it's easy and good for their arrest record.

There was a time when the police were respected and sometimes feared. You have to find your own evidence to give to the police even then they will brush it off.

With respect you are all blaming the Police when their priorities are controlled by the Home Office.

I suspect very few of them wish to be following all this politicised crap.

Just think about this for a moment, and the timing.

These two from the Essex force, oops sorry I mean service don't I, showed up on Remembrance Sunday morning just an hour or so before the 11am commemoration by our establishment at the Cenotaph, and the rest of us around Britain, to those whose lives ended very young in defence of our great nation and all it stands for, our basic freedoms in a democracy and our whole way of life. Can you imagine now bringing those "glorious dead" back to us only to say to them that we now live in a country where the police rush round if you say something someone else doesn't agree with but ignore real life criminality as too hard to deal with or not worth the effort.

Even the Monty Python lot never dreamt up such warped sketches.

The good news is that Allison Pearson has taken on the services of the excellent Free Speech Union. But tonight on TV she made a comment and said "I suppose I'll have to go to the voluntary interview". Why will she? It's voluntary, or has the meaning of that word now been changed in this country where everything has alternate meanings now?

I think she's absolutely ghastly and says some ridiculous right wing things but it is of course, her right.

Always difficult to look up matters like this as it always leads to the loathsome Mail or similar..loathsome because their hideous intrusive advertising.

I'm all for on-line media having advertising to pay the bills but I find the right leading ones atrocious with their idiotic media taking ages to load that then blocks a story as you are half way through it.

Bloody Independent is atrocious with huge full screen videos taking minutes to load suddenly blanking out the written story. I refuse to subscribe to any using these tactics.
