I've just received my winter fuel allowance 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago
which nicely covers my return flight to Morocco (much warmer than London). My hotel and food costs are from my pension and the kindness of strangers - well; not strangers as I've stayed here for 60 years so they upgrade me and give me freebies. Thank God the Internet and things like WhatsApp, YouTube and Zoom are still free.

How have you received a fuel payment?
I know someone on a basic pension amount under the 11.5K threshold for pension credits but because of their savings being over £16K can't claim, apparently.

If I don't feel like driving, I will use the buses as they are capped until the end of December. I see numerous old people in groups riding them all day with a little packed lunch to stay warm. It's a sad and pathetic site to see. They doing what they can not to die from the cold, Labour want them dead ASAP so they can get the housing stock back for the illegals. Labour hasn't deported anyone.
The theatre and a large charity shop do coffee afternoons for the OAPs. Places like the church and the Sally Army are more interested in Ukraine and boat people.
