GB News 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago
GB News are either having a reshuffle due to contracts not being renewed due to costs or they are firing staff that go against the narrative.

GB News has always been a controlled opposition. It showed when they fired Mark Steyn who I watched religiously on GB News Youtube channel.

Even Alex Belfield warned us about GB News bosses and they will shaft and push their presenters under the bus.

Everything Steyn said off-script has come to fruition. Not even Youtube are dumping or deleting videos about the vaccine injuries and deaths anymore.

Neil Oliver got demoted from GB News to YouTube. They should have given him the 8pm slot after Farage.

I always found Mark Dolan to be a little shouty, but he was good. However, he was scared to go off script about the vax or mention voting machines when Alex Stein was a guest on his programme. Alex Stein mentioned both and Dolan looked shit scared afterwards.

What annoys me with GB News is that their website is behind a paywall.

Farage is a ratings winner and he gets more viewers than BBC, Sky and ITV.

I hated Mike Graham when I saw him in person and he was another pro-vax and lockdown moron. He is an Operation Mockingbird gobshite, however, I do like it when he talks about ghastly the Labour Party are on Talk TV. (Even a broken clock is right twice a day)

GB News is starting to disappoint and steer ever more mainstream, which was exactly what it was NOT meant to be.

I will only watch it on You Tube now to avoid the mind numbing repetitious limited ads. If I hear Gold Reserve Jewellers one more time I will need a padded white room.

It's becoming clear they feel just as touchy about certain subject matter as BBC, ITV and Sky when it comes to reporting.

But having said all this, actually the right in politics is the mainstream far more than the left by quite a margin. It's just that the left have been shrieking and getting hysterical the loudest and the right were asleep at the wheel for far too long while they were given the stage.

Good God, just had a deeper delve on those stories - MARK DOLAN FIRED! What has he said and done wrong then? That's incredible. He's a credit to that channel. I hope he can get something back on Talk TV where he switched from.

They want to be very careful about alienating their core viewers, and I watched from day one. I agree on Mark Steyn by the way. What a revelation he was in his short year there. That was a brave and excellent signing, I'd never heard of him before but he drew me in rapidly and changed my mind on a few things.

But this following story better be the usual fiction that the Express serves up daily on their trashy clickbait website. They reckon Kay Burley may join GB News! I don't think so somehow. What possible appeal would the woman who had a live on air orgasm at 10pm on election night when she saw the exit poll have to GB News viewers who will mostly loathe much of what she represents. They are suggesting she could be leaving Sky News literally TODAY, 19th December after 36 years.

I have only seen clips of GB news and certainly as a result have no intention of ever watching it...

If Kay Burley joins GB News then it shows that GB News wants to end the channel. Kay Burley turned Nicola Bulley into a media circus and she broke lockdown rules when Sky News were telling us to stay home. Sky News also showed people banging their pots and pans for the NHS the morons.

I remember Mark Steyn when he did celebrity news, he was very funny and sarcastic with it. It took a while for people to catch on he was insulting the celebs not giving compliments. Americans do not get irony.

Stephen Dixon is a flip-flopper he will only say what the producers tell him to say, he was an advocate for lockdowns, masks and vaccines.

Matt Goodwin would be an asset to the channel. Jacob Reese-Mogg adds nothing to the channel.

If GB News lose the Welsh gold company, they will get no ad revenue unless funerals are still advertised on the channel.

Not a fan of GB News at all I'm afraid. I have never found it to be impartial at all, they have been way too opinionated in reporting their news. And I know they claim not to be a news channel despite being called GB News. Dan Wootton was obsessed with castigating Harry and Meghan. Imagine the furore if the BBC were as forthright and opinionated very openly against the Right as GB News are against the left? And despite what many believe from what I have seen the BBC is far more impartial than any of the others. Ridiculous to label them Left Wing now.

Dan Wootton is still rattling on about Harry and Meghan, I wish he wouldn't and would just ignore them, they are a waste of breath. I'm not sure why he fixates on them so much, even doing so on his new online show Dan Wootton Outspoken online each night at 5pm on You Tube. A good show and he hits the nail on the head with so much. He gets serious guests, he's had the former PM Truss on there recently and last night had the highly respected MP Rupert Lowe for instance.

As for Kay Burley, I'll stick my neck out and say right now that there is not a cat in hell's chance she is joining GB News unless she has had some kind of road to Damascus moment, and I doubt that. Why would they want Burley, it makes little sense. She is everything that GB News is not about. Ultimately she is just bloody dreadful all round. It would amount to a kamikaze appointment to me for the channel, openly trashing the whole original ethos of GB News that people were sick and tired of the likes of Sky News and BBC News Channels singing from the same hymn sheet day in day out and therefore needed something new and different. Kay Burley would be like blowing a huge raspberry at it's viewers. I refuse to believe anyone at that channel making decisions could actually be that thick to do it, or even think of doing it.

Matthew Goodwin is a very good sign up though. I was highly impressed from the moment I first saw him.

I watch it in the morning if the BBC gets a bit depressing, and sometimes headliners, but after 8pm it gets very shock jockey, which I find really annoying. They are bringing in Ben Leo, who is a juvenile muppet and having Ellie Costello do the breakfast show. She's nice enough but a bit of an air head. I think that Eamonn will leave pretty soon as he is a good friend of Isabel and won't take lightly to her being axed. He tends to be more left leaning, or at least show some compassion. He would be on his way out too, if he wasn't a big name. I can't see the channel going on too long, if they remove all opposition to them preaching their views. They can't get much advertising revenue. Most of the adverts are for small companies like Gold reserves, and Simply Factoring

After 8pm GB News is like a podcast, not a news channel.

I do like Martin Daubney, I have never heard of him prior. I don't read lad mags and nearly all the MEPs were non-entities.

If I remember correctly reporting about the Royals good or bad is a rule written by Ofcom. Meaning that GB News have to.

GB News is funded by money in Dubai and it's losses £50 million every year. Somebody somewhere has a good lawyer and an accountant.

This part of what you say is the biggest warning sign for me that GB News is clearly in very big trouble and might suddenly go out of business and off air. Clinging to this Ben Leo guy who has already been holding fort all over the schedule, but giving him prime evening as the actual replacement? He's a young backroom producer guy, nice enough I'm sure but where's the gravitas and the heavy hitting coming from? It's no good them throwing all their eggs in the Farage basket.

All a far cry from Andrew Neil.

On his Outspoken show last night Dan Wootton read out a very long list of names who have now left the channel and many I had not even realised, such as the credible Liam Halligan, who was covering the recent budget, and the dependable Mark Longhurst. On this show Christine Hamilton revealed that GB News were paying Jacob Rees-Mogg a £350,000 salary for just four hours work a week which she described as madness, saying Jacob doesn't need the money and he'd probably do it for free as he is mainly using the channel for his own profile.

Dan Wootton Outspoken - 19th December 2024. This should start at 53 minutes where he speaks of the trouble at GB News.

Late last night Patrick Christys was mysteriously absent from his expected appearance which seemed interesting timing considering the day's events, and they cited "a family issue" to explain his no show.

It's no surprise that Josh Howie gets promoted. If GB News did fire him he would play the race card like he always does.

He mocked people when they joined the connections about the vax and injuries. Now he says there is a link. I can't get over that bosses at GB News sacked Steyn for saying what everyone knew, especially when he was recovering from a heart attack.

I wonder if GB News will hire Mike Graham in the near future.

Its so disrespectful, how they have treated Isobel Webster. She took a risk by presenting on this fringe news channel, and now she has being unceremoniously dumped without so much as a good bye and good luck. If Farage wants to help Britain trade with the US, he will have to make a decision to dump GB News. although he will probably find it hard to ditch £93,000 a month, which is an absolutely crazy amount of money for a fringe channel. They say it beats the BBC in the ratings. It isn't beating the One Show in the ratings, I can assure you of that.

I have no why Isobel Webster got the boot but Dolan caused a lot of problems backstage. Smoking in the building caused was a factor. Not sure if it's true not but he was bullying younger members of staff.

He didn't explain anything on Youtube about why he left but he was instead plugging his new Youtube channel. Which will become an echo chamber.

I am sure GB love to get rid of Eamonn Holmes, but he plays the disability and discrimination card. If I was Holmes I would retire in the sun instead of moaning about a bad back. Yes, it's painful and affects mobility but you are not the only one.

Your new girlfriend loves his money more than she loves him. She is still young FFS does she want to be a full-time carer in the next few years?

Unless they have an open relationship.

I watched the breakfast show this morning with Dawn Neesom and Cameron Walker. I like Dawn, she is very personable and also charming. Cameron is a typical vapid young millennium/gen-z presenter with little clue about whats going on in the world. The whole show seemed to be about slagging off Labour over Cutting winter fuel bills, family farm tax, and employer national insurance. We all know that it's not going very well, but other things are going on and they are supposed to be subject to Ofcom rules on balance, and we should see more opposing views.

I don't care if Ron Wood wants to appear on GB News but miming to a backing track and using a guitar as a prop was ridiculous to see. It does make you think does he do that at his gigs?
