Wonderful programme - shown again at Christmas - intelligent and fascinating - as I'm in Africa (clear night skies with huge quantity of stars) well worth seeing.

80 Christmases JK. Wow. What's the first one you remember? I remember one having a very bad attack of measles. I was about 4. 1968. Wasn't even interested in the presents.
I don't begrudge others who celebrate Christmas and still remember the excitement as a child but I find it extremely difficult to find any joy this year when the birthplace of Christ (whose teachings I love) and the Palestinian people are being obliterated.

Ditto Hedda. To be fair I haven't ever got into the spirit of Christmas since being a child. Which I'm not ashamed about. I only do it because the people around me do it. Which is never a great excuse.
