As they say..a good innings.

Always liked Jimmy Carter as he seemed a decent guy defeated by nefarious actors.

Had his wars of course (usually imposed by the CIA) as every US president has had..except Donald Trump !

Trump of course has famously said he won't accept his salary (while making $millions in the White House) but all ex-US president go on to make $Millions in corporate deals except Jimmy who lived on in his old peanut farm house spending years building social housing for the poor often hands on and using his presidential pension.

I loved his Southern accent and despite what many say about the South I've met the most wonderful people from the Southern US States.

Here's a wonderful quote from Jimmy Carter, made just before the Iraq war. I'm no pacifist but this quote should be rammed down Putin's neck hard.

"War may sometimes be a necessary evil. But no matter how necessary, it is always an evil, never a good. We will not learn to live together in peace by killing each other’s children."
