Is Bannon right? 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Maybe I have to re-asses my distaste for Steve Bannon who seems to have come to the right decision about Elon Musk as in this Guardian article.

Not sure he can do what he claims but he confirms my theory as to Musk's totally ham fisted claptrap discovery of "grooming gangs", his idiotic Savile discovery (as if he'd every heard of the bloke before 2 weeks ago) etc and his demand that Starmer "be removed" from office (how?)

Yes it was all about his absolute bungle by announcing he wanted 1000s of H1-B visa issued to foreign tech workers to replace US workers which suddenly the sleeping MAGA crowd woke up to.

Maybe Bannon has something on Trump. After all he was Trump's closest advisor in his first term.

Considering the rather shocking way that Musk suddenly turned tail and ratted on Nigel Farage just after having met him and floated the prospect of millions in donations, I suspect that Trump better be careful because Musk will turn and rat on President Trump at some point during his Presidential term if he starts doing things not to Musk's personal taste. Musk's volte face on Farage out of the blue proved he was flakey as hell and made me see him in a far more suspicious and wary light.

There was a good long form chat with Steve Bannon on The Megyn Kelly Show before Christmas which is worth checking out. He chats for just under an hour in the first half of the show. I'm not sure what to make of the man myself.

Megyn Kelly Show - 20th December 2024 - Episode 271

It's said that Musk is renting a cottage at Mar A Lago for $40K a month and that he talks down to Trump.

Wonder how long the marriage will last?

This is what happens when you embrace dodgy sorts who know how to play the media and politics. No sympathy for Trump. His undoing will come from within.

I think there's a good chance that Musk will say "You're fired!" first to President Trump rather than Trump getting his catchphrase in first. By that I mean Musk walking away rather than him ousting Trump in some way. These two guys have enormous egos and I think Musk's might actually be even bigger than Trump's, so it could get rather tasty very quick.

Perhaps this criticism by Bannon has more to do with fear of or outrage at being displaced by Musk than any real disagreement with his views.
