It's a shame, in the last few years, he was getting his mental health under control.

Sadly he couldn't quit his addiction to cocaine. It seemed he looked after his money and had about £5 million in the bank. Stephen Fry gave him a bit of work for Kingdom which I have never seen.

The weirdest thing happened on Tuesday night. I was watching an old show on You Tube that someone had placed from an old VHS video they'd done in what appeared to be the summer of 1989 to do with the 21st anniversary of LWT at the time. Some of the ad breaks were included and in the first one that came along I did a double take, there was Tony Slattery at his late 80s best doing an advert for Labatt's lager. It is years since I've seen him on TV in any way, yet he appeared before me on something I chose to watch that was completely unconnected to him, on the actual day he passed away. That is spooky as hell. I was stunned at the coincidence.

I remembered the mountie advert, here it is - youtu.be/Sus1ARrPGFs?si=8qjeXHLwZREElDpr

I used to have a bit of a man crush on Tony when I was younger. He nailed the Canadian accent about 95%. It's nice that the adverts were memorable, had a punchline, and had a guest star who made fun of themselves, not forgetting that the white guy was seen.

Now it's all about race/gender swapping, gambling, takeaways, and annoying and shitty lyrics over a famous song like "Bold. Not forgetting they are more sexist towards men and white absent fathers.
