Sky News is apparently not long for this world anyway and there are plans to stick it behind a paywall online. But the facts are that 24 hour rolling news on linear TV are coming to an end. Quite why anyone would pay to view Sky behind a paywall I've no idea when personal news gathering and sourcing is the most effective way to do it nowadays online across so many areas. Sky News looks clapped out and stale with most of the great journalists gone long ago, and has alienated a big portion of its former audience with the increasing blatant bias on everything from politics to climate change which they don't just report but have been activist about.

Even their own primetime evening show with Mark Austin has struggled to get much more than 50,000 viewers a night.

Despite having no real advertisers GB News is still pulling in the ratings.

I only watch GB News online when Martin Daubney is on, and I also like to keep track of Farage's back-peddling.

At least she has not made any suggestion she is about to jump over to GB News like some wild rumours were suggesting just before Christmas.

Did you see what she was wearing in that photo from launch back in 1989 on the BBC article. She looked like a schoolboy being forced into an oversized suit for a special occasion, one that he might eventially grow into, and what was Tony Blackburn doing at the launch of Sky News back then?

I can think of many low lights and not many high lights with Burley. For some reason the Raol Moat story comes to mind as a low point back in 2010. Also scurrying around like a mad woman in the immediate aftermath of MH370 over in Malaysia, and you mention the incident with a fellow reporter plus her own hypocrisy on lockdown which got her a six month suspension.

Has she actually had any notable journalistic scoops of her own though?

It's a bit rich of SKY to preach about climate change when they sponsor F1 and how many airmiles do sportsman do each year on private jets? Not forgetting footballers always buy gas guzzlers as a new toy.

I remember SKY News were finding anything negative about Trump even going through far-left outlets Buzzfeed and Vox both outlets are funded by George Soros depsite losing hundreds of millions of dollars.

Since leave the media Colin Brazier is acting more human, it's amazing what selling your soul does.

Mark Austin has had more jobs than hot dinners.

The news has always been dodgy but youngsters getting news from TikTok worries me especially as it's owned by the Chinese oligarchy. Even the Chinese admit TikTok is used for data harvesting and causes brain rot. It's banned in China. Let that sink in.

I have heard Steven Bartlett used to sneer on Dragon's Den when the entrepreneurs were not on TikTok. He bought companies that were already succesful and slapped his name and brand over the top. I can't believe it is still on. BBC do know how to drag shit along the curtains.

My half brother died of stomach cancer in 2021. He had many other complications too. I saw his death certificate. It did not say 'covid'.

I know 3 people who died from cancer, they caught Covid when they were in stage 4, Covid is on their death certificates. There is no stage 5. Explain that one to me.

My dearly departed friend died from prostate cancer, he hid it well until he broke down in a family resturant.

The family are still pissed that "Covid 19" is on the death certificate. He is just a number for the Covid death records. When it comes to illnesses Prostate is the third biggest killer for men.

Sucide is the biggest killer for men, many did during lockdown but it gets ignored.

And GM would suggest that international sports are curtailed because of climate change!
