He's pulled the same trick twice and got away with it. This story annoyed me when I read it yesterday. You're quite right.

Too bad if it makes his life difficult getting about. That's the point of a ban. Making TV shows is not that important, it's vastly less important than many jobs actually. Own your mistake, your actions and take your medicine, and preferably don't keep driving at nearly 100mph.

I do like Steve Coogan's work but he can be bloody insufferable at times, just like ALan Partridge. Yes, maybe he is playing himself after all!

I am sure Rob Brydon and Coogan could have made an inside joke on The Trip about why he can't drive.

I was a huge fan of Coogan back in the day. I even liked the Saxondale character he created. I liked the references to rock and metal music. Sunshine, in which he plays a father with a gambling problem, was a good miniseries.
