life imitates art 2 Months, 1 Week ago
Ian Fleming's original James Bond novel Moonraker - published almost 70 years ago in April 1955 - features a villain who's a super-rich industrialist and rocket-maker seeking to cause chaos because he's a secret Nazi. Such a silly idea!

That was the big flaw in Fleming's work. Silly ideas that could never...oh..hang on..

What is Elon Musk's end goal then?

Not sure in detail Rich; but it will be something to do with Elon Musk...

I think Elon genuinely feels the structure of Government needs a spring clean and I agree with him - globally. Whether or not he's the right man for the job, who knows?

I'm not too sure except perhaps to send 10,000s of American employees bust (the actual forgotten human aspect) so he can then swoop up more $Billions in subsidies for his useless rockets to Mars fantasy.

Surely there is an enormous conflict of interest..Musk cutting government costs whilst benefiting from government welfare, but such ethically questions are moot these days.

I just worry that he emulates a Fentanyl addict at times and he seems to be going thru a second childhood with his silly garb and that MAGA hat with the Nazi lettering as adopted officially by the WW2 Nazis, which I fully expect him to soon start wearing backward like a 12 year old boy.

Amazing!

He apparently (reported by the BBC) phoned the AfD co-leader, Alice Weidel, to congratulate her.

It would be interesting to know more about him growing up under apartheid, e.g. if his family were for or against it. I can't help but wonder if Trump's "parcels of land" idea for the Gazans/Palestinians has been inspired by the "homelands" for South Africa's black population under apartheid and if Musk had suggested that to him - though the idea has probably been in the minds of Netanyahu and Co for some time.

His father certainly benefited under Apartheid becoming a multi millionaire with an emerald mine.

Apparently Elon is not friendly with his father and was brought up by his mother who is frighteningly as far right wing as you can get.

Her parents were Nazi party members who moved from Canada to Sth Africa as they approved of Apartheid.

Of course it would be wrong to say Elon's a Nazi just because his grandparents were..but this was his upbringing.

## I find it odd that his father said in an interview that as a kid, Elon was labelled as being sub normal.
