Film4 is reshowing several great past Oscar films - I'm a huge Frances McDormand fan ditto Martin McDonagh. Both these masterpieces are jaw dropping.

Must watch the Banshees sometime. I did watch part of Nomadland, but got tired of it. Maybe I should give it another try when I'm more in the mood for a long film. I do like Frances McDormand and David Strathairn, who I think was in Nomadland. Even if he tends not to be in a major role, he always seems to be in good quality and interesting films. If he's in it, you can be pretty sure that not only his performance but the whole thing will be good. He must have a knack for choosing the right stuff.

Oh do try Nomadland again JO; it is one of the finest movies ever made. David is indeed in it and is brilliant. Banshees is jaw dropping.
